Paris Travel Guide (with Offline Maps) - mTrip app good for
Great app, very useful, and easy to use. Works perfect offline which is useful for tourist. Its a pity one cant search streets- but as a monument search works great.
If you want to explore Paris on your own I recommend this app. Once you get how it works its a fluent workflow and using your phone is also very inconspicious and much easier than a map.
Positive:
-Works well offline.
-Step by step routes on foot or by public transit is a nice function.
-Although Information on sights are provided by other users, there is a reasonable amount of info at the moment and it will grow as the App becomes popular.
Negative:
-No means to export itinerary to other applications or printer.
-Only one itinerary can be created; creating a second one will delete the first.
This App will help you plan your trip more than give you information on the city.
I love how this app automatically generates trips based on settings instead of some apps that only serve as a copy of a paper guide book

Was very helpful during our stay in Paris. Provides a lot of offline information (including offline wikipedia) so we were able to cut down on roaming costs. Only negative is that scrolling the map is a little sluggish with the 3GS
I am actually in Paris now after a 4 day stay in London. I bought this app for both cities and am so glad I have them with me. It is user friendly and worth every penny. It helps you plan your itinerary, choose a good hotel in your price range in an area near the sites that interest you, accurately estimates walking times, plots out your itinerary on a map or in list format, provides lots of background info -- it does more than I can describe in a brief review and does it off-line. Whoever designed this family of apps understands the needs of people who travel. Take a little time to learn this app before you go. Youll want to make maximum use of it on your trip.
Some bad moments
The reviews are poorly written. "Paris would not be Paris without the Eiffel tower". Augmented reality works poorly. No reviews. Cant handle it if you are not staying in a hotel.
The app cannot adjust to anything beyond the main city of Paris. If all you want is within the first to 10th arr. then you are well suited. Want to know about Versailles? Nope. Staying in a lesser known hotel or renting a flat and want to add it? Nope. Want to calculate distance from your unrecognised abode? Nope since the map doesnt include anything but Paris proper. The app for Budapest is insanely good and was such a great tool for my trip I willingly got the app for Paris. I would not waste my money on such. Whats offered here is less info than u would get from lonely planet or Rick steves.
I always hate reading other one star reviews because I assume the person just expected too much BUT this app was a complete waste of money as the search function crashes the app every time I use it rendering the app completely useless.
Had to manually add my hotel, restaurants and any visits outside the city (Versailles, chartres). Bad enough they arent there, you have to pinpoint their location on a map, they wont even find them for you. A big waste of $. Skip it!
Tried to use this in Paris recently. What a joke. Searching often crashed the app. The number of locations in its database was paltry, limited to mainly tourist traps. And if you managed to find a place to visit, the map was atrocious and unusable as a routing mechanism. mTrips Berlin app is somewhat decent, but this Paris version is tres terriblé.
I bought the mtrip app for my Barcelona & Madrid trip and it was great. So it was a no brainier when going to Paris. Right??!! Wrong.
I was unable to use this app at all. It didnt work at all. the software is very unstable. It hangs up and becomes unusable. Even a software reset didnt work. Turning the phone on/off didnt work neither. Great app if it would have worked. Waste of money. :(
